Purpose: This study aimed to measure creativity and core competencies private newspaper executives are written.
Method: The research method is descriptive survey to collect information, a questionnaire is used, the population of 25 private newspapers that are distributed across quartiles and the publication of the Tehran horizon theme is all political, social, cultural, economic, sports and cover.
Findings: The findings indicate that: communication skills, audience research, timely payment of salaries and share ownership among journalists are the most important competencies of managers. The most important indicator of knowledge, audience research, the most important indicator of ability to pay on time, the most important indicator of skills, communication skills and the attitude indicator. Conclusion: Some important and merits a higher rating. The results of Friedman's analysis of variance showed that there were significant differences among the core competencies of managers, which means that they are not the same rank.
